UBC Let's Talk Science strives to improve science, technology, engineering and mathematics literacy through the outreach efforts of members of the research community at the University of British Columbia. Our volunteers work with youth from elementary and secondary schools to ignite science excitement and share their knowledge with eager young minds.
StemCellTalks is a one-day symposium for senior high school students, normally held in March each year on UBC Campus.
StemCellTalks is an outreach initiative established to facilitate knowledge transfer between academia and high school students about the science and practical ethics of stem cells. We want to improve the public’s understanding of basic stem cell science as well as facilitating the development of ethical frameworks in which to address practical ethics.
