Rural Trips

In partnership with Genome BC, Let’s Talk Science sends volunteers out to rural and remote regions of B.C. and the Yukon to engage students in hands-on science activities. Rural trips provide our volunteers with a unique opportunity to travel to different areas of B.C. and experience science outreach at its best. Visits occur throughout the year and are usually scheduled to include a weekend so that volunteers can make the most of the area they are visiting- whether it’s skiing Fernie Mountain or fishing in Haida Gwaii.

Areas we have visited in recent years include: Prince George, Wiliams Lake, Nelson, Castlegar, Cranbrook, Fernie, Sparwood, Comox, Tofino, the Sunshine Coast, the Yukon and Haida Gwaii.
