Volunteer opportunity at StemCellTalk 2017- URGENT

StemCellTalk is a a nation-wide annual symposium aimed at bridging dialogue between academics and high school students about the science and ethics of stem cell research. The event is sponsored by Let's Talk Science, the Stem Cell Network, and other biotechnology partners. This year the focus of the event is Stem Cell and Multiple Sclerosis. We are looking for enthusiastic breakout leader volunteers to guide student debates during the science and ethnic vignette sessions. Our website is here.

When: Orientation 5:30-7:30PM, Tuesday June 6th; Event 8:00AM-5:00PM, Friday June 9th.

Where: Pharmaceutical Sciences Building, UBC

Who: High school students

What you need to do: As a breakout leader, you will guide student debates during the scientific and ethnic vignettes with educational points prepared for you through a 2-hour mandatory training session on Tuesday evening, June 6th. We expect you to be with us throughout the day of the event.
